I need to work out

I've started doing weights this week. My arms are S-O-R-E!!! *whimper whimper* Is it only my imagination or do they seem less jiggly and more toned? Haha yup it's only my imagination. But seriously... I need to tone 'em up.

Then again, there's the cheaper alternative of JOGGING AROUND THE U.P. ACADEMIC OVAL. I used to do this often with Raymond... ah... the good ol' days. I remember one summer where we did this thrice a week, before our 9 a.m. Soc.Sci 2 summer class.


I have a day off from work next week Thursday. If all goes according to plan, I'll be losing a pound or two. I mean to jog around UP with Raymond early morning., next Thursday. I won't stop even if it hurts (It's going to... I haven't jogged since sem break 2006!).

  1. its funny, right now as im reading my body is begging to be flat on the bed right now, just lifted weights downstairs, been my routine for the past 2 months, hehe. joggin? sounds like fun, maybe i should do that too since il be running on a lot of free time(oh?) this sem:)

    I can't believe this is you talking! Are you planning to buy vitamins for weight loss? Was that what you were talking about in your post ?:)

    Anyway, it's good to know some of us are exercising because I have been just a pig this vacation! Haha :)

    Good luck with your weight training, Gabz. But don't overdo it OK? Because I used to lift weights when I was with Slimmer's world but I my arms got bigger, even bigger than they were before I started working out, when I stopped lifting weights. :(

    So maybe the safe thing to do is cardio (jogging, walking) because the muscles don't build up as much and you won't gain weight even if you stop doing it. :)

  3. Hi Aritz! Hope your summer vacation's coming along nicely. :) Hehe nope I'm not talking about weight loss pills. CORE SECRETS is an exercise regimen, done on a ball. It looks like it really works... I've heard good things about the exercise ball from athletes and coaches.

    Yup I've heard that your arms DO get bigger if you stop lifting weights... but they won't get bigger if I lose weight daw. So it's a good thing too that I'm about to lose weight. Haha! Positive thinking... ABOUT TO pa lang.

    Miss you Aritz! Uy let's catch up over merienda or something come June.

  4. Keith! Nothing beats jogging. ;) The wind caressing your hair, the welcome ache building up in your calves... the heart-pounding near-death experiences with crazy ikot jeepney drivers... nyehehe! Tara jogging tayo!

  6. Cardio is the best way to go. I also tried doing weights for my upper arms, but I still have TWO pairs of pata. ;-) With cardio pati tiyan mo liliit (or maybe it's just my imagination din).

  10. sulit yung PE ko na walking..
    sometimes, when our teacher's being "nice and kind," she lets us walk five rounds lang sa track oval...
    tapos, after that, a little rest tapos we lay our mats on the grass and she makes us do some crunches and push-ups. :)
